Two Brothers. Two Imaginations.
Their’s was an imagination that took flight in childhood, nicknaming each other Hakoobo (pronounced Ha-co-bo) and Sashemy. They made their own movies, developed stop-action videos, created their own games, wrote their own stories, and even explored a vespa business in Greece. Although heading in two different directions to discover the world, the two brothers still to this day come together to create. Sean found his star in Los Angeles on the hit show, The Goldbergs, and Luke found his in Chicago.
Upon landing in Hollywood, Sean formed his own company, and was asked what to name it. Without hesitation, he called it... Hakoobo Productions. And his favorite bird…the crane…aptly became the symbol due to its ability to go far and fly high, (higher than even the Himalayas.)
As the brothers’ nicknames imply, originality is at the core of their passions and creations. It’s a love of the story in a multitude of different formats and genres. Beloved stories to them are Winnie the Pooh, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Midnight Cowboy, Inherit Vice, Midnight in Paris, The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, and Charlie Brown.
Their dream, their hope, their direction is to share their life-long imagination with you in stories they have found through fellow artists and those that they have created. Just wait for the Coming Attractions.
